1/14/06 - Saturday - Hollywood's Strength Training, Fairfield, CT
i was waiting for my new pro viking briefs to get here by UPS, which should've been around 10am, but no. when i returned home they had already been delivered.
Squat - warm up with the bar, 135x10, 135x6, put the briefs on after 135.... 225x8, 225x5, 325x2, put on my suit after 325... straps down with belt 415x1... full gear straps up, belt, wraps 505x1... full gear again for a stand up 5 second hold of 625.
Deadlift (still suited from squats) - 225x3 straps down, no belt, 315x1 straps down, belt, 405x1 straps down, belt, 495x1 straps up, not tight with belt; i got this up, the lockout at the top was a little off and i was a leaned a tad forward, so i had to drop as soon as i got it up... this is not bad considering my PR to be 501 which i did 2 months ago in a meet and haven't gone heavy since... tried again for a crisp pull, but my grip gave halfway up.. 495 straps tighter.. failed second attempt
Wide Good Mornings - 145x5, 235x5x3 stance slightly narrower than my squat stance
Glute Hams - 3 sets of 8
Hammer High Row - 1 plate each side for 10x1, 2 plates each side for 8x3
i then did leg raises for a set and was done. i was totally exhausted going into today's workout, but i brought that upon myself. i'm sure my dead would've felt a lot better if i was properly rested, and as a note to self, i can't do that again when going heavy. it's not smart.

Very nice squatting, Johnny! You really should wait until you're 100% before trying serious weight though... LOL
What are the holds at 625 for? Is that your goal?
With your Good Mornings do you ever have any fears or pains. I keep the weight light they scare me a little.
